SYSPRO Mobile Warehouse Login Settings - Smart Scan Login

Smart Scan Login allows for Operators to scan a barcode containing their SYSPRO login data (Operator, Operator Password, Company and Company Password) and be automatically logged into SYSPRO Mobile Warehouse. This page is found under Setup > System Setup > Login Settings

TypeThis setting tells SYSPRO Mobile Warehouse what format the data will be in so it can properly decode and parse it out to the proper fields.

  • Sequential - This means that the data in the barcodes will always be in the same order and will simply be separated by specific characters that need to be specified in the Delimiter field. "OperatorName,Password,Company,CompanyPassword" would be a good example of this using a comma as a Delimiter.
  • Prefix - This means that each piece of data in the barcodes will always be preceded by a unique value that tells SYSPRO Mobile Warehouse that the data following should be placed in a specific field. This would be used if there are no Delimiters in the data but the Prefixes must be unique and not appear in any of the data. "ON:OperatorNameOP:OperatorPasswordCC:CompanyCP:CompanyPassword" would be an example of this where UN: would be setup as the Prefix for the "Username" field in Smart Scan Login Setup and OP: would be the Prefix for "Password".

Delimiter The data entered into this field should be the special character that separates the data in the barcode, this is required in Sequential type and optional in Prefix type. Common Delimiters are Commas, Semicolons or Pipe symbols ( | ).

Header - The data entered here would be any extra unnecessary characters in the barcode BEFORE any of the Operator, Operator Password, Company and Company Password data. So, if my barcode contained this string of text: "THISISHEADERDATAOperatorName,Password,Company,CompanyPassword" I would want to enter THISISHEADERDATA into the Header field and it will be discarded when scanning the barcode on the SYSPRO Mobile Warehouse login screen.

Trailer - The data entered into this field would be any extra unnecessary characters in the barcode AFTER the Operator, Operator Password, Company and Company Password data. So, if my barcode contained this string of text: "OperatorName,Password,Company,CompanyPasswordTHISISTRAILERDATA" I would want to enter THISISTRAILERDATA into the Trailer field and it will be discarded when scanning the barcode on the SYSPRO Mobile Warehouse login screen.

Prefix - The data entered into this field would be the Prefix for the Field you are Adding to the Smart Scan Definition. From the example given in Prefix above CC: would be entered then select Company in the Field dropdown and click Add Item.

Default - The value added for Default for a field will be used if the barcode scanned is missing data in that particular field on the barcode. So, if there is a piece of required data you do not wish to encode in the barcode and it will be the same for all Operators and logins you can setup a Default and that will be entered by SYSPRO Mobile Warehouse.

Field - The dropdown list for field contains the available fields that are required to login to SYSPRO Mobile Warehouse:

  • Username (SYSPRO Operator Code)
  • Password (SYSPRO Operator Password)
  • Company (SYSPRO Company Id)
  • CompanyPassword (SYSPRO Company Password)

Character Count - The number entered in this field is used with Prefix type barcodes if the Field being entered will always have a specific number of characters in it for all Users and logins. This can help SYSPRO Mobile Warehouse identify the next upcoming Prefix if there are difficulties being encountered.

Add Item Button - After entering all the data in the applicable fields, click the Add Item button to add that field to the list that will be populated when the barcode is scanned.

Save Button - When all the desired Fields have been added, click the Save button to finalize the configuration.

Enabling Smart Scan on the Login Screen - After configuring Smart Scan Login, it can be enabled by going to the SYSPRO Mobile Warehouse Login Screen and clicking or tapping on the Barcode icon. Then scan your barcode into the "Scan your login barcode" field.
