System Setup (General Details, DB Connection, Smart Scan Login, etc.)

The following options are found in the Setup menu. You must be a member of the Administrators Role in order to access the Setup Menu. Click Setup, then click System Setup.

Caches

This section displays a list of cached data which is used in place of querying SYSPRO or the SYSPRO Mobile Warehouse database for data, where applicable. This is done to increase loading performance.

Database Connection

SYSPRO Mobile Warehouse uses a SQL Database to store some information about transactions as well as User Role and System Settings. A blank database should be created on your SQL Server for SYSPRO Mobile Warehouse. The following information should have been provided during the initial installation of SYSPRO Mobile Warehouse. This screen allows you to view, test or modify these entries.

Integration

The Integration Codes screen displays examples for connecting to the SYSPRO Mobile Warehouse API using various languages.

Click the API Documentation link to view the Swagger self documentation for the API.

License Information

The License Information screen will display your current license activation information and allow you to Deactivate your license in order to transfer it to another server if needed.

Online Activation is used to register SYSPRO Mobile Warehouse using your Product Key. This process will attempt to contact our licensing server at https://ritesoftproductmanagementapi.azurewebsites.net/. If you have issues activating, you should work with your IT department to ensure that the server has been allowed access to https://ritesoftproductmanagementapi.azurewebsites.net/. A successful connection to this URL will show a message in a web browser that the Azure App is up and running.

Offline Activation can be used as an alternative to Online Activation and does not require an active internet connection. Follow the on-screen instructions to Activate SYSPRO Mobile Warehouse.

License Info will display current information about your Product Key including Expiration Date, Number of Users and licensed Modules.

Regional Settings

The Regional Settings screen allows you to configure a local culture in order to format dates and numbers according to your preference.

Example formats are listed after selecting a Culture.

Smart Scan Login

Smart Scan Login can be used to automate the login process by scanning a barcode. The format of the barcode must match what is defined on this screen. After defining each Field as outlined below, click Add Item.

Type defines how the barcode data is organized. Sequential means that each piece of data will be in a specific sequential order and separated by a Delimiter. Prefix means that each data element will be preceded by a unique identifier.

Delimiter is required if the Type is set to Sequential and is optional if Type is set to Prefix. It defines the character used to separate each data element in the barcode.

Header defines any string of characters to ignore at the beginning of the barcode.

Trailer defines any string of characters to ignore at the end of the barcode.

Prefix defines the string of characters to indicate the beginning of the specified Field and is required if Type is set to Prefix.

Default defines any string of characters to use if the barcode does not contain a value for a specified Field.

Field defines the data element being setup for the barcode.

Character Count is required if not using a Delimiter, otherwise is optional. It defines the length of the Field in the barcode.

In the following screen shot, the Smart Scan Login barcode data elements would be separated by commas and the elements would be in the specific order shown. The barcoded data would be: user,user_password,company,company_password

Stock Item Sync

Stock Item Sync is used to increase the performance of SYSPRO Mobile Warehouse. Rather than re-querying SYSPRO for basic Stock Code information, SYSPRO Mobile Warehouse caches this data and updates it periodically. The cache is updated automatically every 24 hours or can be manually updated by clicking the Run button on this screen.

SYSPRO Connection

SYSPRO Mobile Warehouse requires WCF Services to be installed. This is an optional SYSPRO Component in SYSPRO 7 and can be installed from the SYSPRO Installation media. WCF is installed by default for SYSPRO 8.

SYSPRO Mobile Warehouse can use either the HTTP or NET TCP type of SYSPRO WCF connection. Please review the following article in order to determine your SYSPRO WCF URL:   Find my SYSPRO WCF Connection URL

Stock Code Lookup

SYSPRO Mobile Warehouse  has the ability to query Stock Codes based on many different keys such as Alternate Stock Code, Customer Cross Reference, etc.

Here you can check the boxes for the keys you wish for SYSPRO Mobile Warehouse to use.

You can drag and drop these options to set the order in which you want SYSPRO Mobile Warehouse to query SYSPRO for the entered 'Stock Code'.

SYSPRO Mobile Warehouse will begin by checking for the 1st enabled option, if no result is found in SYSPRO, SYSPRO Mobile Warehouse will continue to the next enabled option. If no result is found in any of the keys, an error will be displayed that the Stock Code was not found.
