ODBC time out at the time of testing the SQL connection


If you are getting an ODBC Time Out when trying to connect riteSCAN 8 to the SQL Server, here are couple items to try:


1) Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption is in place but not setup on the server hosting riteSCAN. Here's an example of errors that might be shown in the Event Viewer:



Solution was to Enable TLS 1.2 and 1.1 on the riteSCAN Server.



2) Verify that the riteSCAN Server has SQL Server ODBC 64Bit Drivers installed on it.
