This error was being shown when riteSCAN 8 was configured to connect to the SYSPRO Load Balancer which was configured to connect to SYSPRO 7. The solution to this was to configure riteSCAN to connect to the SYSPRO WCF Service in the SYSPRO Connection settings instead of the Load Balancer.
